Overview

This documentary series primarily highlights that animation is a dream continuously constructed frame by frame, one single frame. Renowned animation director Shih Chang-chieh and his entire team at Vision Studio conducted rigorous fieldwork, delving into every animation production company and interviewing nearly 200 animators. They also led a team to Shanghai, Suzhou, and Wuxi on the other side of the strait for on-site interviews. This resulted in an unprecedented compilation of Taiwanese animation history materials, uncovering many moving stories, and even unearthing animated films from over thirty years ago from a photo lab, which were then digitized. Precious old photographs and manuscripts attest to the efforts of Taiwanese animators, and the hardworking spirit and pioneering spirit of the Taiwanese people are deeply touching.
