Overview
Final Fantasy is one of the most influential and longest-running media franchises in gaming history. Created by Hironobu Sakaguchi and developed by Square Enix, the series debuted in 1987. What started as a desperate "final" attempt to save a struggling company became a global cultural phenomenon that redefined the Role-Playing Game (RPG) genre.
