When her grandfather Dursun refuses medical treatment, Leyla, a bass guitarist, leaves the city for his village in Anatolia, determined to bring him back with her. Dursun has no intention of going. What begins as a practical visit slowly settles into a stretch of shared time. Moving between city and countryside, rehearsals and shared meals, The Name of the Song observes two generations as their different rhythms of life gradually come to inhabit the same frame, shaped by everyday routines, stubborn disagreements, music and small acts of care.
The Name of the Song was directed by Oğuz Anbarlı.
The Name of the Song runs for 1h 24min, and was released in 2026.
