Great Jute

Overview

This documentary is based on the book "Chronicles of the Great Juta" by V. Mikhailov. This famine devastated the Kazakh steppe, surpassing the Dzungarian invasion , and more than half of the Kazakhs were killed. After this famine, the number of Kazakhs reached the number in the 1926 census only forty years later.
